Our Staff

Creative Academy strives to maintain the highest quality of staff personnel.  All Creative Academy staff personnel have received clearance from the Department of Investigation (DOI) as well as the State Central Registry.  At minimum, your Directors and Lead Teachers are CPR Certified and trained in First Aid safety. Every two years all staff personnel will receive both trainings (CPR, First Aid) during scheduled professional development days. All staff personnel are required to obtain certificates in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), Infectious Diseases, and Mandated Reporter per Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

Staff Qualifications

  • Lead Teachers have either obtained their applicable education requirements, ie; Infant/ Toddlers teachers- CDA or associate’s degree in early childhood or a related field, Preschool Teachers- bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field, or are in active pursuit of them.

Each school year, all Creative Academy personnel will attend a total of 40 hours of professional development training. These trainings are led by either the Director of Education or an outside contracted professional, on topics relevant to teaching and working with infants, toddlers or preschoolers.

We believe that learning is a life-long process, for children as well as adults. Our teachers are offered many opportunities throughout their employment to further their education and improve their teaching skills. Mandatory educational training and relevant workshops occur monthly. In addition, we encourage our staff to participate in professional organizations and to become actively involved in the local early childhood education community.
